Six Seasons Online

A year of earth-based wisdom, seasonal ritual,
and movement medicine.

BEGINS Oct.10th 2023

Practices, remedies, rituals, and reflections
inspired by the natural world.

Our ancestors (and the world's great wisdom traditions) knew that each phase of the year is unique and provides us with special "medicine." Join us for this new year-long program and tap into the power of the seasonal tides that make up the calendar year.

For this program, I've divided the year into six medicinal seasons to guide our journey. These seasons weave together the calendars of many ancient traditions - including the Celtic and Pagan wheel of time, the lunar calendar used in Chinese Medicine and Taoism, and the six Ayurvedic seasonal junctures (ritus).

We'll explore how to work with, and harness, each season's special energy for greater insight and healing. My intention for this program is to offer you meaningful and unique ways to deepen your understanding of, and relationship with, the natural cycles of time. This work is very close to my heart - it arises out of my own evolution, and long study and practice of holistic medicine and movement. We'll cover various earth-based rituals and reflections, embodiment practices like yoga and meditation, seasonal food and cooking, home herbal medicines, and more.

This program is for everyone - you don't need any special experience - all are welcome.

I hope you can join me for this special course and deepen your connection to the six magical seasons.

P.S - This course is all new! If you've taken other seasonal courses with me - this course covers new lessons, topics, practices, and handouts.

This program has 6 modules spread throughout the year:

Autumn Slowing

In this module we begin at the fall equinox - a time of equal light and dark. We'll also explore earth-based traditions surrounding Samhain (Oct.31st). In eastern systems like Taoism and Ayurveda, this is the time of metal, air, and ether. It's a time to let go and surrender. We'll explore practices, inquiries, rituals, and remedies to support our descent into the darker seasons to come.

Winter Retreat

For this module we explore rituals around winter solstice and Yule (Dec.21st), and the power of the water element in eastern systems like Taoism and Ayurveda. This is the season when we can access our deep potency, and nourish bone and nerve tissue most effectively. We'll explore somatic and restorative practices, self led inquiries, and herbal remedies to support rejuvenation and rest at the deepest level.

Early Spring Stirring

This is a relatively short season marking the obvious changes occuring as the days get a little longer. In this module we'll focus on the natural energies surrounding the earth-based holiday of Imbolc (Feb.1st). Early spring is a time of rising Qi/Prana according to eastern systems, but also stagnancy - we'll use foods, movement, rituals, and remedies to support good flow in body and mind.

Spring Renewal

We start this module with spring equinox. The light is now returning - we'll honor renewal by celebrating the earth-based holiday Beltane (May 1st). In eastern systems, spring is a time of cleansing, growth, and creativity. We'll support the Livers natural cleansing capabilities, and use our practices and inquiries to nourish rasa - the life-giving juice of the body according to Ayurveda.

Mid-Summer Thrive

During this season we celebrate summer solstice and the earth-based holiday Litha (June 24th). Mid-summer brings joy and connection - we'll use ritual and remedies to honor this light and playful energy. We'll also explore food as medicine, herbal allies, and movement practices to temper and support fire and Tejas in the body and mind.

Late Summer Harvest

In this final module, we use the harvest festival of Lughasadha or Lammas (Aug.1st) to guide our journey. The natural world is abundant right now! With all of this plentiful food from the earth it's time to ensure our digestion is strong and our mind is balanced. We'll use our practices and rituals to accomplish this, along with honouring the earth and our place in it.

+ I took Jennifer's Seasonal Self Care course(s). Is this course different? Will the lessons and practices be the same?

This course is completely new! All of the downloads and lessons will be new. You may find a few similar concepts to my small seasonal self care courses, but we'll cover much more in this program and we'll cover it in a different way, so as to keep it fresh and interesting for more seasoned students.

+ How is the course delivered?

As soon as you register you'll receive an email with a link to login to the online course portal where you'll find all of your videos and downloads for the program.

Each season you'll receive an email letting you know that a new module has been unlocked inside the course portal. Each season includes a mix of pre-recorded videos, audios, and lessons, a handbook, and one live zoom call where you can ask questions. Live attendance is not required, and there are replays if you wish to watch later.

+Can I go at my own pace?

Yes! This course includes pre-recorded videos, downloadable workbooks and one recorded live call each season. Every season a new module unlocks for you to explore in your own time. Live attendance is not required - you are free to go through the videos and do the program at your own pace if you wish.

+ I'm not a yoga teacher. Is this course right for me?

Yes! This course is for anyone interested in learning more about seasonal wellness, yoga, mindfulness, kitchen and herbal medicine, and more!

+ Will I receive a certificate at the end of the program?

This course was mostly created for your own exploration and personal study. It's not a "yoga teacher training" per se, but it can absolutley be used to deepen your understanding and teaching. If you would like a certificate to show your course completion, we will happily send you one - just email us after the program and we'll send one to you.

+ Is there a live component? Can I ask Jennifer questions?

Yes! Each season has one live online zoom call (6 total). These calls will be an opportunity to gather together as a community, share if you'd like, and ask questions. Live calls are optional and replays will be provided if you prefer to watch later.

+ What is your refund policy?

Similar to an in-person workshop, once the course starts you receive access to course materials, so we will not be offering refunds. We're very confident you will love this course, but if you're unsure about my teaching please feel free to familiarize yourself with my work over on my website before purchasing.

+ I have more questions about the course.

Please email us at [email protected] with any questions you have. We'd love to help.
